Medical Oncologist

Dr Ben Kong is a medical oncologist and cancer researcher with interests in clinical trials and translational research.

Dr Ben Kong is a medical oncologist and consultant physician based in Sydney. He has expertise in managing genitourinary (prostate, kidney, bladder), lung and brain cancers and interests in clinical trials and immuno-oncology.

Ben undertook his general medical training at Nepean and Concord Hospitals followed by medical oncology training at Westmead Hospital, where he gained experience in clinical trials and fostered an interest in immunotherapy.

He has a PhD in cancer immunology from the University of Sydney looking at ways of boosting the immune system to achieve better responses to immunotherapy.

Ben consults at the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, where he specialises in thoracic and head and neck cancers. He offers consultative services to those who are facing a cancer diagnosis.
